Director, Land Development / Jason McCarty
| Hi, my name is Jason and I work in Westwood’s Land Development group. Every day is different for me. The land team routinely collaborates with other Westwood professionals in the fields of environmental science, planning, landscape architecture, surveying, and traffic engineering. Doing so provides a great opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects with unique situations. Striving to provide superior client service and value, I focus on expediting projects through design, approval, and construction. On a daily basis, I work with clients, agencies, and internal staff, managing projects to meet and exceed client expectations. I provide value to Westwood by training and mentoring my project team. With a diverse mix of specialties at Westwood, we all have the opportunity to learn and advance to new positions, and Westwood encourages that. Westwood has provided me the opportunity to grow in my career by encouraging my participation in professional societies and educational events. With Westwood’s support, I am active in the Minnesota Society of Professional Engineers, the Builders Association of the Twin Cities, and am a LEED Accredited Professional. I’ve been at Westwood since I graduated from college. I feel very fortunate to have found a home here. I love doing what I do and can’t imagine working anywhere else. |
