Aerial Mapping

We have produced more than 7,000 linear miles of corridor mapping and 42,000 square miles of digital orthographic mapping.

Overview
Aerial mapping services are the first step in overall design solutions for wide-area and corridor projects. Sometimes referred to as digital orthography or photogrammetric mapping, our aerial mapping services provide clients with aerial-based photo-imagery and DTM data that is geo-referenced, highly-accurate, and scalable.

Team & Technology
Our aerial mapping and surveying experience for energy projects stems back to 1992.

Utilizing proprietary digital softcopy software and the latest GPS technology, Westwood supports mapping projects requiring extreme accuracy for design.  Westwood’s aerial mapping technology was created by ETG back in the early nineties. Scale-Accurate Digital Imaging (SADI), results in high-resolution 3D mapping and Digital Terrain Models (DTM) producing data that is accurate and reliable for design and studies. All aerial and photogrammetric surveys are coordinate-correct in relation to the local state-plane coordinate system. Utilities, municipalities, and consultants use our aerial mapping services and SADI as cost-effective solutions for their projects.
